Help / Rooms and meetings
Why can't I open this room?
If a room was deleted, you lack access, or something failed, Pactto shows a page that says which one and offers a way out; ask the owner for an invitation if you lack access.
What the message means
When Pactto cannot open a room, it shows a full page with one of three messages:
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| This room no longer exists | The owner deleted the room, or the link is wrong. | Check the link with the person who sent it. |
| You don't have access to this room | Your account is not allowed to open this room. The page shows which account you are signed in with. | Ask the room owner to invite you, then open the link again. Make sure you are signed in with the invited email. |
| We couldn't open this room | Something went wrong on Pactto's side. | Try again in a moment. If it keeps happening, contact support. |
Ways out of the page
- If you have a Pactto account, click Go to my rooms to return to your rooms list, or Create a new room to start a new one.
- If you joined as a guest or are not logged in, click Go to Pactto.
Good to know
- Being a non-member does not show this page: if you open the link of a room you are not a member of, you go to the join screen and can ask to join. See Join a room and admit people from the waiting room.
- When the room no longer exists or could not be opened, the page shows the Room ID. Include it if you contact support.
- If you were removed from a room while inside it, you see You no longer have access to this room instead.
- If your session expired, Pactto sends you to the login page instead and brings you back to the room after you log in.
- If your browser is not supported, a different page explains that. See Supported browsers and devices.
