Help / Rooms and meetings

Leave a meeting

Click the Leave room button at the far top left of the room and confirm with Leave room; you keep access to the room and everything in it stays saved.

Leave a room

Leaving ends your part of the meeting. The room, its canvas, and its chat stay saved, other people can keep working in it, and you keep your access so you can come back any time.

Leave

  1. Click the Leave room button at the far top left of the room.
  2. In Leave this room?, click Leave room. Click Stay in room to cancel.
  3. You return to Your rooms.

If you were sharing your screen, sharing stops and the shared screen is removed from the canvas.

Closing the browser tab also takes you out of the meeting.

Leaving for good

The Leave room button does not remove you from the room. To give up your access, use the Leave option on your own row in the room's Share dialog. See Invite people. The room owner cannot give up access to their own room.

Guests who joined through a direct link are the exception: when they leave, they lose access to the room.

"Are you still here?"

When the AI assistant is running in the room and nothing has happened for 60 minutes, Pactto asks Are you still here? and counts down: We'll leave the room for you in 60s.

  • Click Stay in room to keep going. The 60-minute timer starts again.
  • Click Leave now, or let the countdown run out, and Pactto takes you out of the room the same way the Leave button does. You keep your access.

Almost anything counts as activity: clicking or typing anywhere in the room, editing the canvas, sending or receiving chat messages, comments, using the assistant, and people talking (live captions).
