Help / Canvas
See where other people are on the canvas
Each person in the room shows up on the canvas as a cursor with their photo (or initials) and first name, so you can see what they are pointing at in real time.
Other people's cursors
While you are in a room, the cursor of every other person on the canvas moves in real time. Next to each cursor is a small tag with:
- their profile photo, or their initials (up to two letters) if there is no photo, and
- their first name.
The tag uses each person's participant color, the same color their laser pointer trail uses.
When cursors are hidden
- Conversation mode: other people's cursors are not shown while conversation mode (cameras only) is on.
- Spotlight: while someone is spotlighting, you only see the cursor of the person presenting (see present).
- Focus mode: other people's cursors are not shown while you have a file open in focus mode.
Good to know:
- You see where others point, but not what they have selected. Other people's selections are never outlined on your screen.
- Cursors are just for showing position. To draw attention to a spot, use the laser pointer (Q).
- Very long names are cut short in the tag.
