Help / Getting started
What do I do in an empty room?
An empty room shows a Start your first review card where you can drop or upload files with Upload asset, or use the Invite others, Create doc and Share your screen shortcuts; the card disappears as soon as something is on the canvas.
Start from an empty room
When a room has nothing on its canvas, a card titled Start your first review appears in the middle, with the line "Review videos, images, and documents together."
Add your first files
- Drag files from your computer onto the area that says Drop files here to begin, or click Upload asset and pick files.
- You can add several files at once. Supported types are videos (MP4, MOV, WebM), images (PNG, JPG, GIF, SVG) and PDFs.
- The files appear on the canvas and the card goes away.
Other ways to start
Below the upload area are three shortcuts:
- Invite others: invite people to this room (see invite-people).
- Create doc: adds a collaborative document to the canvas.
- Share your screen: starts sharing your screen (see share-screen).
You can also use the toolbar at the bottom at any time (see canvas-toolbar).
If a file is not accepted
- "This file type isn't supported yet." The file is not one of the supported types listed above.
- "File is too large. Maximum size is 5 GB." Each file can be up to 5 GB.
- When you drop several files and some are not supported, the others are still added and a message says how many could not be added.
Good to know:
- The card comes back whenever the canvas is empty again, for example if you delete everything.
- The card is not shown on phones (screens under 640 pixels wide), while someone is sharing their screen, or in conversation mode.
