Collapse or expand a board
Click the chevron to the left of a board's name (Collapse board) to shrink it to a single bar with its name and item count; click it again (Expand board) to restore it.
What it does
Collapsing a board shrinks it to a compact bar showing an arrow, the board's name and the number of items inside. The content is hidden until you expand it again. It is useful when a room has many boards and you want to clear space on the canvas.
Collapsing is shared: when you collapse a board, it is collapsed for everyone in the room.
Who can do it: the room owner and people with Can edit access. Everyone else sees the board collapsed or expanded, but cannot change it.
Collapse a board
- Find the board's name above its top left corner.
- Click the chevron to the left of the name (tooltip Collapse board). You do not need to select the board first.
Expand a board
- Click the chevron on the collapsed bar (tooltip Expand board).
- The board returns to its previous size with all its items.
Good to know
- A collapsed bar stays the same size on screen at any zoom level, so it is always easy to find.
- You can move a collapsed board by dragging its bar, and rename it by double-clicking the name on the bar.
- A collapsed board cannot be resized. Expand it first.
- The bar does not show a preview of the board's content.
- To present a board, expand it first: the play button only appears on an expanded board.
