# Share your screen > Click Share screen at the top right of the room (or press S), pick what to share in your browser, and your screen appears on the canvas for everyone; others can follow it and zoom in. Category: Rooms and meetings Web page: https://www.pactto.com/help/share-your-screen All guides: https://www.pactto.com/help.md ## Share your screen When you share your screen in Pactto, it appears as a live window on the room's canvas. Everyone in the room sees it, and it can be moved and resized like other items on the canvas. Any participant can share, from a computer. ### Start sharing 1. In the bar at the top right of the room, click **Share screen** (tooltip **Share screen – S**) or press **S**. You can also open the **Room menu** next to the room title and choose **Share screen**. 2. Your browser asks what to share (a screen, a window, or a tab). Choose one and confirm. 3. Your screen appears in the middle of your view on the canvas and opens in focus. It shows a loading animation for a moment, then the live picture. On a narrow window, **Share screen** may be inside the **More** button in the same bar. ### Stop sharing Do any of these: - Click the button again (**Stop sharing screen**) or press **S**. - Use your browser's own stop sharing control. - Leave the room. The shared screen is removed from the canvas for everyone. ### When someone else shares 1. Pactto asks **Follow** followed by the presenter's name and **screen share?**, with a preview of their screen and your current view. 2. Click **Follow** (with their name) to jump to their shared screen, or **Stay where I am** to keep working where you are. You can stop following anytime. 3. While they share, their camera tile shows a **Presenting** badge. Click it to see their shared screen. If several people start sharing, Pactto asks about them one at a time. ### Zoom into a shared screen While a shared screen is in focus: - On a computer, hold Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) and scroll over the screen to zoom, then drag to move around. - On a touch device, pinch with two fingers to zoom and drag with one finger to move. - While zoomed in, a small control appears in the top right corner with **Reset zoom**, **Zoom out**, the current percentage, and **Zoom in**. Zoom goes up to 400%. Zoom only changes your own view. ### Sharing in conversation mode If conversation mode is on, the shared screen takes the main area and the cameras move to a strip beside or below it. Your own share is labeled **You're sharing your screen**; someone else's reads their name and **is presenting**. With several shares at once, use **Focus this screen share** or **View all screen shares** on a shared screen to switch between them. ### Good to know - Screen sharing is not available on phones. The button is hidden there, but phone users can still watch and zoom into shared screens. - On phones and tablets, a shared screen starts muted. Tap the shared screen to hear its audio. - The shared screen keeps its proportions when you resize it. - If the picture does not load after several tries, the shared screen shows an error message. Stop and start sharing again. - If the connection drops, Pactto shows **Reconnecting...** and tries again.
