# See all comments in a room

> Click the Comments button on the left edge of the room to open the Comments panel, where you can search, filter (All, Open, Resolved, Mine), reply, and jump to any comment.

## Open the Comments panel

1. In the room, click **Comments** on the left edge of the screen (vertically centered). A yellow badge shows how many comments the room has.
2. The panel lists every comment, grouped by type (such as **VIDEOS**, **IMAGES**, **PDFS**, and **CANVAS**) and then by item. Free comments that are not on an item are under **CANVAS**.

Close it by clicking outside the panel or pressing **Esc**.

## Find comments

- Tabs: **All**, **Open**, **Resolved**, and **Mine**.
- Search: type in **Search comments...** to match comment text or author names.
- **Filter** (funnel icon): filter by author, **@ Mentions of me**, flags, or mentioned people. **Reset filters** clears them.
- A yellow dot marks comments with replies you have not seen.

If nothing matches, the panel shows **No comments match your filters**.

## Work from the panel

- Click a comment to jump to its place on the canvas. For videos and PDFs, Pactto also moves to the comment's frame or page.
- Click **Reply** to answer without leaving the panel.
- Use **•••** to **Edit** or **Delete** your own comments.

To resolve a comment, open it on the canvas and click the check button.

## Empty room

When a room has no comments yet, the panel shows **No comments yet** and an **Add first comment** button. You can also press **K** and click anywhere on the canvas.

## Good to know

- The Comments button is hidden in Focus mode, in the cameras-only view, and on phone-sized screens.
- Connected AI tools (Pactto MCP server and Pactto CLI) can read the same comments, for example to list what is still open.
